Album terms and conditions

What you agree to when you order an album from Jay Chubby Wedding, in plain words. You accept these before you pay.

1 Your photographs and words

You confirm that you own every photograph and every word in your album, or that you have permission to print them: from your photographer, and from anyone whose work appears in it. Getting that permission is your responsibility, not ours.
If someone claims that your album breaks their copyright, privacy or other rights, you agree to cover the costs and losses that claim causes us, as far as it comes from the photographs or words you gave us.
We may decline to print anything we believe breaks someone’s rights or the law. If we do, we refund you.

If you design the album yourself, we print the pages as you laid them out. We check the files for print problems such as low resolution or words too close to the edge, and tell you what we find, but we do not proofread, re-crop or re-edit your design.
If we design it, we send you a proof and print what you approve. Please check names, dates and spelling on it.
Cover words are pressed exactly as typed, capitals and spelling included.
A photograph the studio marks as likely to print soft prints as it is if you keep it.

Every screen shows colour differently, so printed colours and the matte paper look a little different from what you see on screen.
Linen and leather are natural materials: their grain and shade vary from batch to batch and from the photographs on this site. These differences are not faults.

Your album is made to order for you. The times we give are estimates: about three weeks to make, then a few days by courier.
Before your album goes to print you can cancel and we refund what you paid, less the design fee if we have already designed your pages. Once it has gone to print it cannot be cancelled or changed.
Please check your album when it arrives and tell us within 14 days if anything is damaged or faulty.
We are not responsible for delays caused by things outside our control, such as courier delays or severe weather.

If your album arrives with a fault in its printing or binding, we reprint or repair it, or refund you, as the Australian Consumer Law requires.
Nothing in these terms takes away your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Apart from those rights, and as far as the law allows, our responsibility for an order is limited to reprinting the album or refunding what you paid for it.

We use your photographs only to make your album. We never publish them or show your album to anyone without asking you first.
We keep your photographs and design for 12 months after delivery so you can order copies, then delete them. Keep your own copies of every photograph: we are not a backup.
